Crop Pro 89 Fertiliser is a versatile and safe option, suitable for many situations.

Crop Pro 89 contains the 4 key nutrients required for healthy plant growth, being:

  • Nitrogen,
  • Phosphorus,
  • Potassium and
  • Sulfur

The ratio at which these nutrients are blended together (14:4:13:13) means this product can be used to grow almost anything, including lush green lawns, pumping veggie patches, loaded fruit trees, as well as many broadacre and horticultural commercial crops.

Using Crop Pro 89 for Lush Green Lawns

Typically, about 3kg per 100sq meter is used in each application.

Apply once in autumn before the winter kicks in and the grass growth slows down, then again in spring when it starts to heat up and the grass is looking to start growing again.

Repeat the application of Crop Pro 89 in mid-summer when the grass is growing at its fastest, and using most of the nutrients.  Where possible, water in the product directly after application.

Using Crop Pro 89 for Pumping Veggie Patches

Prior to planting, typically about 3kg per 100sq meter is applied and thoroughly mixed through the soil profile.

In many cases, this will be enough to produce the veggie crop, but it will depend on exact vegetable species you are growing, the soil type and the number of plants per m2.

For example, this will be enough to grow your lettuce, but if your growing sweet corn (a bigger plant with more nutrient demand) you will need to apply more Crop Pro 89 through the crop.

If you notice growth rates slowing down, or plants starting to go slightly less green in colour, apply a further 3kg per 100sq meter of Crop Pro 89.  Where possible, water in the product directly after application.

Using Crop Pro 89 for Loaded Fruit Trees

Let’s assume you have a mature fruit tree size, in which case you will typically need to apply approximately 1kg per tree of Crop Pro 89.

We will assume the root zone to be similar in size to the canopy. In this case, be sure to evenly spread Crop Pro 89 around that root zone, and don’t pile it up in just one location at the base of tree.

Repeat that application of 1kg/tree, three to four times per year.

Generally, you will need to time most of the applications of Crop Pro 89 so that they are applied just before, and throughout, the fruiting season, leaving 1 application for the dormant part of the year.

For example, apply Crop Pro 89:

  • just before flowering,
  • again, once the young fruit are visible,
  • and again, when fruit are 75% fully grown, and
  • a final application about 2 months after harvest.

If your fruit trees are not mature in size, reduce the application rate accordingly.

For example, if the tree is half grown, reduce the application rate down from 1kg per tree, to 500g per tree.

The above information is a general guide only.  Soil type, fertiliser history, plant type, and seasonal conditions can influence the outcomes.
