CALF WEANER MIX is a medicated complete food suitable to be fed to Beef and Dairy calves from the 4th day to 4 months of age or 120kg live weight. CALF WEANER MIX is a quality grain and protein meal based complete feed designed to successfully grow calf weaners. Calf Weaner Mix also provides all the macro, trace minerals and vitamins required for adequate growth of young calves.

Medication

This feed is medicated with 45 mg/kg Lasalocid as an aid to the prevention of coccidiosis.

Feeding Directions

Calves not accustomed to grain feeding should be introduced to this stock food gradually or it may cause rumen acidosis and possible death.
If hand feeding, initially supply 1% live weight per head per day then gradually build up to full feeding by 5-7 days.
When feeding in self-feeders, after gradual introduction allow free access setting shutters to only allow 50% of the bottom tray to be filled.
Ensure feed is available at all times.
Ensure clean, cool, adequate water is available at all times.
