Rural Merchandise Salesperson 2IC

Norco Co-operative Ltd was established in 1895 and has grown from a regional dairy co-operative to a national force in Rural Retailing, Agribusiness and Food Manufacturing.

Norco is now one of the largest dairy co-operatives on the East Coast of Australia and has a proud history of serving rural communities. The company is a manufacturer of high quality stockfeed and owns and operates 28 rural stores in Queensland and NSW, carrying more than 12,000 different agricultural products.

It is within our busy Rural Retail business based in Lismore that an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly organised full-time 2IC Rural Merchandise Salesperson. The purpose of this role is to provide agricultural advisory and sale service to farm clients and to build business partnerships with our major customer base through the provision of sound technical advice.

To be successful, you will possess strong interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic and self-motivated with a sales focus and outline how you can demonstrate the following Skills and Experience required, in your application;

Skills and experience

MUST HAVES

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge and strong focus on WHS principles.
  • Proven rural sales, merchandising & marketing skills to continue strengthening an exciting customer base.
  • Ability to assist with financial budgets and profitable performance of the store.
  • Technical skills in Agricultural Science, Animal Health or Agronomy is an advantage. Demonstrated understanding of the rural industry in the Northern Rivers area.
  • Proven ability to be a motivated team leader within a small team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to rural customer service with the ability to competently advise customers with the sales role.
  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy skills including Microsoft office, POS and administration skills.
  • Experience working in a rural retail and warehousing environment desirable
  • Drivers and forklift licence essential.

SHIFT MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN / TECHNICIAN
Raleigh NSW

We are currently looking for a highly skilled, energetic and flexible Maintenance Electrician for our busy milk manufacturing operation in Raleigh, employing in excess of 120 staff.  If you thrive on turning challenges into opportunities, enjoy working within a team that empowers you to get the job done and with an organisation that works on lean principles and is fluid in its ability to react to change, then this could be the ideal job for you.

This role is a full time permanent position that requires the ability to work a flexible shift roster and able to respond to calls outside business hours from time to time. As Shift Electrician, the position will be part of a team of electricians and mechanical fitters, and may be required to assist with mechanical work from time to time.

The purpose of this position is the provision of preventative and corrective electrical maintenance and troubleshooting programming / control faults as part of the factory’s maintenance team. The position will also be involved with electrical and system control projects. Ideally, the successful applicant will possess the following essential & desirable selection criteria.

Skills and Experience:

MUST HAVE

  • Demonstrable skills and experience in relation to WHS including risk management.
  • Current A Grade Electrical Licence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and Citect SCADA based automation systems.
  • Knowledge of ASI communication, E&H instrumentation and Vision systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • RSLogix programming software experience and Powerflex VSD knowledge.
  • Ability to work shift work and overtime.

      DESIREABLE SKILLS

      • Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems.
      • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements.
      • Dairy manufacturing experience.

      The warehouse manager we are seeking will have a strong understanding of customer purchasing requirements and the ability to meet deadlines whilst balancing a range of work.


      Job tasks and responsibilities

      This is a pivotal role for the right candidate who matches the responsibilities of the role, it will suit an experienced person who can work within a diverse, fast paced, changing environment, who possesses the ability to work within a team, with the highest regards being placed on Safety, exceptional customer service and accuracy.       WHS Officer / RTW Coordinator - Parental Leave Position
      Lismore NSW

      Norco Co-operative Limited is a well established and dynamic organisation which has grown from a regional dairy co-operative to a diverse manufacturing business with interests in Milk, Ice Cream, Cheese and other dairy, as well as Rural Stores and Stockfeed mills. 

      Norco currently has a parental leave position within the WHS Team. This position will have a key focus on the coordination of all Workers Compensation, Injury management and Return to work across NSW and QLD.

      In addition, this role will assist with the coordination of WHS related training as well as supporting all WHS initiatives company wide.

      To be considered for this role you need to demonstrate the following selection criteria in your application:

      • NSW advanced RTW Coordinator and/or RTW Coordinator accreditation.
      • Experience and qualifications in Worker’s Compensation, injury management, rehabilitation/RTW case management, provider management and reporting in QLD and NSW.
      • High level of knowledge in Worker’s Compensation legislation relevant to NSW and QLD.
      • High level of understanding of WHS legislation and application.
      • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
      • Experience in development, delivery and evaluation of internal training programs
      • Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, incident investigation and reporting
      • History of working in a continuous improvement WHS framework
      • Demonstrated ability to assist in the development of WHS programs for business improvement

      In addition, the following would be desirable:

      • Experience with incident investigation and reporting
      • Cert IV in TAE qualification
      • Experience in risk management processes; Hazard identification, risk assessment and development of controls.

      Field Officer - Milk Supply
      Mid North Coast NSW Region

      Norco Foods is a 100% Australian Farmer owned Co-operative with a strong range of Australia's leading dairy brands. The Milk Supply team manages the relationship between the Co-operative business and the member dairy farms that supply the top quality raw milk to our factories.

      Norco Co-operative Limited currently has a field officer role available based on the Mid North Coast, NSW. Reporting directly to the Milk Supply Manager, the position is an important resource for both Norco and the member dairy farms.

      The key focus of this position will be to work closely with Norco milk suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders in order to effectively maximise the profitability of member farms, assist with complex on farm issues and ensure overall Norco’s interests are met in the supply of quality milk to our customers.   

      Essential Selection Criteria:

      • Strong understanding of Dairy Production Systems.
      • Demonstrated ability to provide critical business advice to dairy suppliers.
      • Demonstrated ability to facilitate practical educational programs and training.
      • Demonstrated ability to formulate and effectively communicate industry regulations and Norco policies and procedures to Milk Suppliers.
      • Demonstrated ability to work independently balanced with a strong team ethic.
      • A working knowledge of Dairy Quality Assurance programs and systems.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Excellent computer skills.
      • Qualifications; degree in Agricultural Science or a related field and current drivers licence.
