It is within our busy Rural Retail business based in Kyogle that an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly organised full-time Rural Merchandise Salesperson.

The purpose of this role is to provide agricultural advisory and sale service to farm clients and to build business partnerships with our major customer base through the provision of sound technical advice.  To be successful, you will possess strong interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic and self-motivated with a sales focus.

  • Proven rural sales, merchandising & marketing skills to continue strengthening an exciting customer base.
  • Technical skills in Agricultural Science, Animal Health or Agronomy is an advantage. Demonstrated understanding of the rural industry in the Kyogle area.
  • Proven ability to be a motivated team player within a small team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to rural customer service with the ability to competently advise customers with the sales role.
  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy skills including Microsoft office, POS and administration skills.
  • Experience working in a rural retail and warehousing environment desirable
  • Drivers and forklift licence essential.

Norco Co-op Ltd are producers of a host of Australia’s most popular and well-known brands & products in the consumer Ice Cream, Cheese & Milk sectors, we are seeking to appoint three suitably qualified Heavy Combination drivers who will be committed to the role of Distribution HC Driver within our Milk manufacturing & distribution centre operations based in Labrador.

Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, you will follow the Distribution & Site Operational & Safety procedures to ensure our customer orders are 100% in spec, in full, on time.   

The purpose of this position is to support the transport processes in order to optimise the Cooperatives fleet efficiency, meet Chain of Responsibility obligations in the supply chain by taking responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks.

To be considered you need to demonstrate the following selection criteria in a written application:

  • Heavy Combination (minimum requirement) and / or Multi Combination & Forklift Licenses, while not essential, these licenses are desirable for multi-tasking across various shift configurations.
  • Complying with COR standards for Work Hours, Fatigue Management, and Load Security.
  • Planning and organising routes, taking into account other fleet scheduling activities.
  • Completion of heavy vehicle checks, including monitoring trailer fridge motors,
  • Manual handling capability i.e. moving pallets / crates of approximately 100 kg’s.
  • Understand Distributor order picking procedures & loading sequence for multiple orders.
  • Understand Back Dock standard operating procedures for cartons, crates & pallets,
  • Punctual and reliable for early morning, day or afternoon shifts
  • Written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Assist in other areas within Distribution as and when required by the Coordinator,
  • Capable of problem solving and decision making.
  • Model safe work practices & compliance to Norco policies & procedures.
