Sales Agronomist

We are looking for an experienced and energetic Sales Agronomist to fill a role within the Mid North Coast NSW area, based in the Kempsey area. 

To be considered for this role you need to demonstrate the following selection criteria in an application:

  • A knowledge of farm input industry products and their use on the Mid North Coast.
  • Recent Agronomy experience providing “on farm” advice.
  • Proven sales and retail experience in a similar environment.
  • Natural customer relations and communications skills.
  • Demonstrated motivation towards success and achievement.
  • Ability to work productively in a small team.
  • Ability to work in the field 3-4 days per week.
  • Forklift & current drivers licence preferred.

    Administration and sound computer skills with POS and Microsoft applications.

    2IC Rural Merchandise Salesperson
    Alstonville NSW

    Norco is now one of the largest dairy co-operatives on the East Coast of Australia and has a proud history of serving rural communities. The company is manufacturer of high quality stockfeed and owns and operates around 28 rural stores in Queensland and NSW, carrying more than 12,000 different agricultural products.

    It is within our busy Rural Retail business based in Alstonville that an opportunity has arisen for  an enthusiastic, highly organised full-time Rural Merchandise Salesperson. The purpose of this role is to provide agricultural advisory and sale service to farm clients and to build business partnerships with our major customer base through the provision of sound technical advice

    To be successful, you will possess strong interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic and self-motivated with a sales focus. To make an application please address the following selection criteria in your application giving examples of how you can demonstrate the following:

    • Proven rural sales, merchandising & marketing skills to continue strengthening an exciting customer base.
    • Ability to assist with financial budgets and profitable performance of the store.
    • Technical skills in Agricultural Science, Animal Health or Agronomy is an advantage. Demonstrated understanding of the rural industry in the Alstonville area.
    • Proven ability to be a motivated team leader within a small team environment.
    • Demonstrated commitment to rural customer service with the ability to competently advise customers with the sales role.
    • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Computer literacy skills including Microsoft office, POS and administration skills.
    • Experience working in a rural retail and warehousing environment desirable
    • Drivers and forklift licence essential.

    Field Officer - Milk Supply
    Toowoomba QLD

    Norco Foods is a 100% Australian Farmer owned Co-operative with a strong range of Australia's leading dairy brands. The Milk Supply team manages the relationship between the Co-operative business and the member dairy farms that supply the top quality raw milk to our factories.

    Norco Co-operative Limited currently has a field officer role available based in Toowoomba and servicing the South East Queensland area. Reporting directly to the Milk Supply Manager, the position is an important resource for both Norco and the member dairy farms.

    The key focus of this position will be to work closely with Norco milk suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders in order to effectively maximise the profitability of member farms, assist with complex on farm issues and ensure overall Norco’s interests are met in the supply of quality milk to our customers.   

    Essential Selection Criteria:

    Demonstrated experience as an advisor in the dairy industry.

    • Strong understanding of Dairy Production Systems, particularly in the Northern region.
    • Degree in Agricultural Science or a related field

    Demonstrated Skills & Knowledge:

    • Demonstrated ability to provide critical business advice to dairy suppliers.
    • Demonstrated ability to facilitate practical educational programs and training to dairy suppliers.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written to dairy suppliers.
    • A working knowledge of dairy Quality Assurance programs and systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently balanced with a strong team ethic.
    • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft word and excel.
    • Current drivers licence.

    An attractive salary package including the provision of vehicle will be offered to the successful candidate. This role will suit applicants who can work independently and can work flexible hours including occasional evening and weekend work.
